I have been married to my wife, Carolyne, for 41 years.  We have one child, no grandchildren.  I retired in 2001 after 34 years at Target Stores.  While at Target, I had a variety of assignments within the organization.

Over the past 50 years the three most important highlights are my marriage, the birth of my son on St. Patrick's Day and my Target Sores careerr of 34 years. I've lived in California, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Arizona.  I lived in Burnsville, MN the longest - 25 years.  When we retired we moved to an Arizona Adult Resort Community.  We enjoy this lifestyle and the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix).

My most favorite things to do are golf, collecting coin operated machines...am a Thunder bird Car enthusiast (for the past 15 years)...am an avid Gopher basketball fan.  My two sisters live in Fargo ND.

My favorite memories of Central High days are the quality of the teachers, YWCA noon "hops" and athletic events.

Barbara and I have been married for 27 years.  We have 6 children and 9 grandchildren.

I retired in 2002 after 37 Years working for Univac/Unisys Corp. in Roseville Minnesota. Though I wanted to go to college after high school I went into the Air Force and worked on B52 electronic systems for 4 years. After marrying, working and going to school in San Jose, CA for 2 years, I moved to Minneapolis to work for Univac. I went from being a computer technician to working in development as a Hardware Logic Designer on Large Computers before retirement. Although I do not have a degree, I have taken many college courses and was classified the same as a graduate engineer. I was fortunate to always have been challenged in my work.
Now I work on my fun cars, play the guitar to accompany myself singing, work on fun electronics projects, travel, and sometimes play golf with my younger brother Daryll.

My three most important highlights would be as follows. First, I finally grew to normal size after I was out of Central, although I may still be behind other people my age as I don't have the physical problems like many others. Second, my first wife and I had three children who have been the best thing in my life. Third, going through the pain of divorce and learning to be a better man for my second wife.

Since my mother taught me songs to sing on the Cox's Variety when I was about 8 years old, I learned to love music. I have a bandstand in my basement with recording equipment, guitars, keyboards, etc. I still play the first record album I bought and among many others, I have a 1958 Fender guitar and amp which I purchased in 1960. My wife also makes us do karaoke.

I have a daughter Cindy, who is 42 and 7 months pregnant with her second child. It took her a while because after being an All-Conference Athletic and Academic Volleyball player at Oklahoma, she has a career in Computer Science and stopped playing when she had her daughter at 40. My daughter Darla is a Database Manager for an Insurance firm and has a 7 and 6 year old. My 39 year old son works as a system analyst for Travelers when he isn't going to other countries with Habitat for Humanity, volunteering for many things, singing in his rock band, or looking for a woman who can keep up with him. He also has his second Little Brother.  When I grow up I want to be like any one of them.

My wife Barbara and I have spent time in Florida the last 2 years. Since My retirement, we have travelled to Paris, (where I worked for 5 months in 1972) Octoberfest in Munich, and Norway for a family reunion. I also worked in Japan. We are planning a trip to Poland in the near future.

I enjoy going back to Grand Forks about once a year since I only have cousins there. My childhood was very difficult but I had a lot of great friends. I read the Red Cent faithfully. One of my greatest regrets was not being in music after my sophomore year.

My favorite teachers were many of the male teachers who set such a good example. I especially recall James Forslund and an eighth grade teacher Robert Hullinger. I always enjoy the reunions and I'm sure this will be great.

I've been married to Marvin Dietrich for 46 years.  We have 3 children and 8 grandsons.

I retired from my business as owner of Dietrich Occupational Therapy Services to skilled Medicare facilities in IL.  I traveled all over Illinois setting up OT services and teaching/supervising staff, doing skilled OT patient evaluations and writing /documenting therapy programs.  Now I write and teach a women's Bible Study weekly, have a large garden, watercolor children's portraits, travel and enjoy life with my husband.

Over the past 50 years, some of my most important highlight include raising and educating three wonderful children into independent, moral, successful adults, who are happily married and who have produced 8 beautiful and smart little boys.  Overcoming breast cancer not once, but twice, then subsequently having the privilege of counseling, for 12 years, other women in crisis because of the same terrible disease.

Since graduating from Central I've lived in Duluth, MN and Quad Cities, IL.  I remember with great fondness my friends in the school band and our times of marching in parades in uniform, football games.  Of course, all this under the wonderful band director, Leo M. Haesle.   I remember winning a VERY HIGHLY SUPERIOR PLUS rating for my clarinet solo at State Contest one year.  The embarrassments I have long since left in the dust!  My favorite teacher was Carol Unkenholtz, who exercised her marvelous gift for encouragement with me and with many other students as well.

I am widowed.  I was married to my first wife for 12 years and my second wife, Carol,  for 25 years.  I have 6 children and 4 grandchildren.  I'm still working for Insure Forward and Bank Forward providing Surety Bonds for Contractors.

Over the past 50 years, some of the most important highlights are: my marriage to my 2nd wife; 3 kids with my first wife; and 3 step-children with Carol.

I enjoy riding my Harley-Davidson Road King, flying my Cessna, fishing with the grandkids, traveling with the family.

I've only lived in Grand Forks (67 years) and love it right here.

Some of my favorite memories from Central High days are hanging out with certain buddies, chasing girls at basketball tournaments, driving cars, loved all my math courses and the math teachers.

I have been married to my husband, Steve, for 26 years.  I have 1 child and Steve has 3, but they were all married when we got together  We have 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

I'm retired.  I graduated with Associate of Arts Degree in Business Education from UND.  I did secretarial Work for the most part and then business assistant to a computer company that developed software for small market radio stations for 18 years.

Over the past 50 years, some of my most important highlights include: Being rescued by the Coast Guard when our boat burned to the water line and sank in Puget Sound. Traveling to New Zealand and Australia and are still enjoying many close friendships from the two countries. Our move to Mexico was a series of adventures but we absolutely love where we are.

Both Steve and I are computer nuts, but also read profusely. My older sister, Carol, is a super active grandmother of three delightful grandchildren in Minneapolis. My younger sister, Kathy, is still in the GF area and her love is her grandchildren, gardening and horses.  We have two dogs Ridley a 14 Yr old Jack Russell Terrier and Garfunkel a 4 year old Mini Long Hair Dachshund.

I have lived in six places since graduating from Central. The longest was in Decatur, IL for 18 years but traveled much of the last 10.

After the power boat sunk in Puget Sound it took this girl 7 years before I agree to buy a sailboat. We had a small 32' Catalina but since we were going to live on it needed a larger one so drove our 18' Chinook motor home to Mazatlan to look at 2 different boats. However, Steve became really sick and after a series of doctors and hospitals we ended up in a Lakeside community (on Lake Chapala the largest lake in Mexico) about an hour from Guadalajara (the second largest city in Mexico). What's neat is that the airport is only 1/2 hour from us and therefore have had many many guests over the eight years we have lived here.

My favorite memories from Central High days: I'm glad we were teenagers when we were. It was a fun time and everyone seemed happy and carefree. By the way, I did get over my shyness thanks to Steve.
Studying was difficult and I had to live up to sister Carol's reputation which was really tough. I think Diane Gustafson helped me more than anyone else in that area.

I was all set to come to the reunion but a very good friend from Australia is coming to visit us here in Mexico at the time of the reunion so I'll miss it again. If there is any change in his plans I will still try to come.

I have been married to my husband, Richard Sorlie, for 4 years. I have 2 sons, 2 grandchildren - 1 boy, 1 girl - and 1 step great grandchild with Richard.  I have been retired since I married Richard.  I have been busy taking care of my mother who has been in a nursing home 35 miles from Grand Forks for 2 years.  She passed away October 22, 2008.

Over the past 50 years the most important highlights include having two wonderful sons, having great jobs, having a wonderful husband at my age and friends.

I love to read.  I used to work at the GF Public Library and now am an assistant to the librarian at our church.  I'm hoping that now Richard and I can do more traveling and I am busy with church library and other activities with the church.

I have lived in 8 different places since graduating from Central.  I lived in Cavalier for 8 years, but before that I moved quite a lot.  I moved back to Grand Forks in 1988 and lost my first husband in 2001.  When Dick and I got married we each sold our houses and bought a townhome which we love.

Some of my favorite memories from Central High days include lunch hours over at the basement of the Methodist church across from Central.  We ate and danced to 45's and had a blast.  Centralian chorus and Mr. Sherwood.  Ken Rio was my 6th grade gym teacher at Roosevelt, and then when I got to Central he was my biology teacher, and now I see him in Grand Forks and we are good friends.

I'm very excited about out reunion.  It will be fun to see my friends from long ago and those who are still friends today.
