Some of my favorite memories from Central High days include all the people going to the cigar store and the Kegs.  and Going to parties - KEGGERS!!!!!

I have been married to Willem (Bill) De Lannoy for 35 years (in May 2009).  I have 3 children and 3 stepchildren and 11 grandchildren.

I am working!  I am a realtor in Prescott AZ with the Kathleen Yamauchi Group Real Estate.  We have a great team and I enjoy my life.  We are also involved in our church activities and kids and grands!!

Over the past 50 years some of the most important highlights include:  growing up in Riverside Park and all the fun of that; swimming in the Riverside pool, skating during the winters/tobogganing/musicals in high school as well as cheerleading; coming to a real Christian faith in 1977 - and walking that out in my life..and seeing my children and grands arrive, grow and be an amazing blessing in my life; two "work related" high lights: traveling into Poland in 1983 (behind the Iron Curtain) and living in Germany and Holland, as well as the travel to Russia (singing on Red Square in 1991 Easter), China and Argentina; passing the Real Estate Exam when I was 66!!!!!!! A miracle!

I enjoy horseback riding!  I have a sweet Missouri Fox Trotter named Amy.  I love our rides in the country.  Our children and grands all live in California so we make frequent trips for birthdays and family celebrations.  Our kids love taking their motor homes out camping and motorcycling in the dirt.  My sister, Pat Budge, lives near in Scottsdale and I love to spend time with her...my brothers: Don Paul, lives in Kennewick, WA and they are retired teachers, and Dick Paul lives in Denver and Sun City, AZ - we see each other in the winter.  My husband spends time visiting the local nursing homes encouraging the folks and loves it - I lead a study with young Moms and love them!  We have a sweet dog, named Heidianne.  She's an illegal from Mexico!  Ask me later!  We have taken lots of trips to South Africa, as well as other parts of the world working with high schoolers, in an AIDS/HIV prevention program.  We feel we've been very blessed.

I have lived in 10 places since graduating from Central, the longest in California for a total of 19 years.  We ended up in Arizona because we wanted to retire in a more rural area within a tank of gas from Southern California.  We searched for 2 years.  Prescott was very attractive to us, and we have enjoyed living here.

Some of my favorite memories from Central High days include:  I loved the school itself - the location - close to downtown, close to the "Y", close to my Dads barber shop in the Ryan Hotel and containing both a gym and a theater.  My most embarrassing memory is falling "UP" the concrete steps because I was soooo stiff and sore after Cheer practice in the fall of my sophomore year, and all my books went sprawling.
Fun: Wow! The parades, floats making, decorating for dances, "POT LUCK!" - dances at the Y..(during lunch time!); Chorus and the musicals, Cheerleading, Tournaments, so many things!  I LOVED Mr. Sherwood, and he'll always be my favorite.

I was shocked and saddened to see how many people have passed away according to the deceased info.!

My husband, Gary, and I have been married 45 years Deember 23, 2008.  We have 2 children.

I taugh French I and II at UND in 1963-1964.  Got married  and was an at-home mom until both children were in college (MN and Rollins in FL).  Then I taught 7 years of English in Pingree, ND; 3 years Spanish for Great Western ITV network out of Washburn studio (lived in Bismarck); 7 years of French I-IV at Mandan High School.  I retired in May 2006.  Now we we're traveling and getting reacquainted with long-time friends.

Over the past 50 years some of my most important highlights include: building a strong French program at Mandan HS, expanding offerings from 2 years to 4 years; sharing with family and students the joy of learning and of knowing and being able to use a second language; being sent to France on an Arneberg Scholarship to learn the language from natives in the Loire Valley at Tours.

Our favorite trip so far was Morocco and we visited all 5 imperial cities.  The aromas, the colors, the markets in the Medinas AND the fact that all signs are in Arabic and French and everyone there speaks French; Eastern Europe is another favorite.  Budapest, Prague, Vienna, Salzburg are so full of cultural events (music, dance, art, architecture) and interesting history!  Information we all should know.  I love to read...mostly fiction or historical fiction.
Suspense is a favorite. Baldacci, Kate Mosse, Kathy Reichs, Sue Grafton...etc.

Both my brothers are Central grads: Scott graduated in 1956 and David in 1963. Neither of them has ever lived in ND, so it's harder to spend time together. Scott died in 2001. His 3 children and their families live in El Paso, TX, and we spent 3 days with them in August 2008 before going on a Copper Canyon train trip in Mexico. David is married to a beautiful Brazilian gal and is still doing government research and development in the Tampa, FL area.

I've lived in too many places  to count. (10 or more) We bought Gary's grandparents' farmsite near Pingree, ND while we were living in Denver. When Gary was hired by White Drug in Jamestown, we moved to the farm. Our children are Pingree-Buchanan HS grads. We lived there on the farm (Gary working in Jamestown) for 12 years and then moved to Jamestown for 7 years. Gary worked for BNSF RR (as an engineer, driving trains) for the last 15 years he worked. He was transferred from Jamestown to Mandan. I accepted an offer to teach Spanish (ITV) in order to move from Jamestown and live with him in Bismarck. 3 yrs in Bismarck, transfer to Aberdeen, SD and 2 yrs there, then transfer back to Mandan and 7 years both of us living in Bismarck and working in Mandan. Then retirement. We love Bismarck.  Some of my favorite memories from Central High days: debate team trips; scary memorization of French conversation; enjoying Mr. Sherwood's chorus directing.

My husband, Robert Eliscu, is deceased.  I have one child, Bjorn Pederson who is an actor.  I performed for the Canadian Opera Co. after college.

in 1969 I founded(and am the director and performer) of The New York Kammermusiker, a professional double-reed ensemble, in 1969.  We have traveled extensively throughout the world.  We have performed some 40 tours throughout South and Central America; tours to Australia and New Zealand; Far East includes tours to Taiwan and China; and yearly tours throughout Europe since 1969.  We have, of course, performed regularly in NYC, New Jersey, Washington, D.C., including the Frick Museum in NYC, Dumbarton Oakes and Wolf Trap in Washington, D.C.  This year we also have a series of concerts at a college in New Jersey and "The Little Church Around the Corner" Church of Transfiguration in NYC.  We will perform in Brazil this spring and return to Europe this summer.  We record on the Dorian label.

The Kammermusiker is dedicated to presenting music to as wide ranging an audience as possible.  The members of the group combine a repertoire ranging from the early Renaissance through Contemporary periods with an informal stage manner inviting the audience to know more about the works performed and the instruments used.  All the members have been specially trained by the French organization Jeunesses Musicales de France to bring music to young audiences.  The ensemble frequently gives masterclasses and seminars on its tours.  Our members include musicians from The New York Philharmonic, New York Met Opera, Vienna Philharmonic and other famous orchestras.

Some of my most important highlights over the past 50 years include performing and recording for several years with the Munich, West Germany, Bach Orchestra, Kar Richter, Director; performing with my group, the New York Krammermusiker, in a cone of a volcano in Lanzerote, Canary Islands; performing with Kammermusiker at our Ambassador's home in Stockholm, Sweden.

We have started "The Winds of Change Festival" in Fargo, ND (wind energy awareness concerts and theater).  2009 will be our third annual festival.  We are exploring taking this festival to Grand Forks, as well.

My base is New York City, but I have lived in Germany and have constant travel throughout the world.  I cash rent my farm in North Central North Dakota and have a second base in Fargo.

I have 2 children, Kristin and Michael, and 1 grandchild, Suza.

I am a semi-retired small business owner.  When you have your own business you can never completely walk away from it.  I own a child care center but I am not the day-to-day operator.  At least not at the moment.  I started out as an elementary school teacher but moved to child care in 1982.  At one time I had 3 centers but have pared back to just the one now. I am free to come and go and be as involved as I choose to be.

I wish I had three highlights that stood out but I can't think of the past 50 years like that.  I will say they have gone by quickly and that each year brings new enjoyment and satisfaction.  Needless to say I would put my children at the top of any list.

My favorite things to do involve my children and granddaughter.  Any time spent with them is great.  My daughter and her family live in Tucson,AZ and my son lives here in Tacoma.  I see my daughter almost as much as I see my son. He is a good son but just that- a son.
I play bridge every month with a group that has been together for about 30 years.  I also am very involved with my church.

My travels usually take me to anywhere my daughter lives.  I've been out of the country to Japan and Curacao.  In addition to spending time in Arizona every winter with friends and family I have made numerous trips to Hawaii.

My family no longer lives in Grand Forks. My mother has moved to Bismarck to be near my brother, Tracy. I did get back there this past Feb. for her 90th birthday. When I have been in  Bismarck I sometimes drive my mother back to Grand Forks for a visit.  I hope to be able to do that again soon.

I've lived in 6 different states since graduating from UND in 1963,  I lived in Lompoc, CA, Hawaii, Newport News, VA, Harrisburg, PA, Anchorage, AK and Tacoma, WA.  I moved to Washington state in 1972 and have lived in the Tacoma area since then, in Lakewood, Gig Harbor and now Steilacoom.  I came to Tacoma from Fort Richardson, AK when my husband was reassigned to Fort Lewis, WA.

My favorite memories probably would be doing things with my potluck friends. I understand that potlucks were kind of unique to Central High School.  I didn't realize that until much later but I am especially glad that I had such a good group of friends to share my high school days. As far as teachers were concerned I remember Doc Winters, Mr. Rio, Mrs. Harm and Miss Kuchera.  She always had those great looking matching skirt and sweater outfits.

Thank you Susie Indridson Yost for all that you have done.  You are doing a fantastic job.  Already I have been able to get in contact with friends I thought I would never hear from again.  May God Bless you all.
