I have been married to my wife, Carolyn, for 33 years.  We have 3 children and 2 grandchildren.  I retired in September 2006, after practicing dermatology for 35 years.  I practiced two years in the Navy, in Jacksonville, FL, two years at the Q&R Clinic in Bismarck, and for one year was on the staff of the dermatology department at the University of Nebraska, School of Medicine in Omaha.  Then I practiced my last thirty years with MeritCare in Fargo.  Carolyn and I spend four months each summer at our cabin on Eagle Lake, near Park Rapids, MN, two months in Destin, FL, in the winter, and the rest of the year in Fargo.

My most important highlight of th past 50 years was while teaching dermatology at the University of Nebraska, I met and married Carolyn Cushman, and soon after moved to Fargo.

We have three sons -- Colin, Peter and Trevor -- and two granddaughters.  We have taken two awesome trips to Europe -- to France and to Italy.

I've lived in 7 places since graduating from Central, the longest is in Farfo for 33 years and plan on remaining here. I had a great desire to practice dermatology at what was formerly known as the Fargo Clinic/St. Luke's Hospital, where I had spent one year as an intern.  After completing my residency and practicing for five years, I was given the opportunity to join the Fargo Clinic.

I've been married to Art for 46 years.  We have one child.  I retired after 34 years of teaching elementary children.  Now we spend a good share of our summer at Cass Lake and 3 months in Mesa, AZ.  Over the past 50 years some of the most important highlights include marrying Art, our son Michael and enjoying retirement.

Some of my favorite things to do are travel; visiting our son, Mike, in California, getting together with sisters and brother who all graduated from Grand Forks Central High School and quilting, which has become quite an addiction.

I've lived in 2 places since graduating from Central - Montana and Grand Forks, only 1 year in Montana.  We came back from Montana for Art to attend graduate school and I became employed by the Grand Forks school district.  Grand Forks is still a great place to live and raise a family.  The best memories from Central High days are being together with friends and enjoying our teenage years.

I have been married to Ed Feldman for 20 years.  We met in the mid 80's and were married in Hawaii in 1989.  We have a combined family of 7 children (Ed's 4 and my 3), plus 9 grandchildren.  We have thoroughly enjoyed watching the little ones grow, and have been able to participate in many of their activities including college graduation for two of them this spring.

After high school, I married my first husband and had my three children before starting college (not the smartest thing to do)!  After finally graduating from UND in 1972 at the age of 32, I began teaching science at a junior high school in Schaumburg, IL.  I continued coursework and earned a Master's Degree in Counseling and Guidance from Northern Illinois Univ. and then a degree in school administration from the University of Illinois.  I later worked as an assistant principal at a junior high school, and then was appointed principal of an elementary school in neighboring Palatine, IL, a job I truly loved.  I retired in 1998, and have returned as interim principal on several occasions.  I am currently fully retired.  Ed is retired from his surgical practice so we have the luxury of time together to enjoy our large family.

Highlights since high school include: marrying Ed and having a second chance at love and marriage, raising my three children, and then watching all of them graduate from college.  In fact my son, Jeff returned to UND and graduated in Engineering.  Since Ed and I were married we have traveled quite extensively.  For me, one of our most meaningful journeys was to Norway where we visited the area where three of my grandparents lived before coming to America.  In fact, I was able to go into the house where one of my grandmother's was born.

In addition to travel, some of my hobbies include golf, reading, cross country skiing, gardening and walking our little dog "Oliver" around the lake.  He is an adorable little cock-a-poo we refer to as our "late in life child".  I must admit that he is a bit spoiled!

One of my favorite memories of high school is of Mr. Haesle our band director.  I remember how he used to lean back and allow a warm smile to cross his face when we played well, and then how he would frown, wave his baton and say "NO, NO, NO, kids" when we didn't!

I have lived in 2 locales, several different homes. I moved to Illinois in 1973 and have been in this area ever since, although in five different homes.  I look forward to our reunion even though I still can't believe it will be 50 years since we graduated!

I have been married to Jack Billings for 39 years.  We have 1 child and 2 grandchildren.  I spent 8 years as an international flight attendant for TWA; was a military wife for 15 years (including lots of moves and volunteer work); supervised foreign exchange students in visits across the US and worked in the resort, travel and vacation industry.  I'm newly retired and trying to stay out of trouble.

It is difficult to pick only three in any order of the most important highlights over the past 50 years.  Family: having a son, and 2 grandchildren would be #1 (I started later than most); having the opportunity of living in a foreign country (Brazil) for 3 years and having the opportunity to visit 5 continents; having spent time and keeping close contact with friends over the years here at home in the US and in many other countries.

I enjoy anything outdoors (used to enjoy snow skiing), walking, traveling, keeping in touch with friends.  I just like to keep on the go (while still possible!!)  Jack and I used to enjoy deep sea fishing.  You may remember my brother, Denny Cooper: aka Dennis or Jess..who was 3 years older.  He spent a lot of his career in Washington D.C. and Colorado, but is now retired and living in Hazen, ND.  His children and grandchildren live in Bismarck.  Our son, Sean, and his wife, Trisha and 2 sons, Aiden and Kieren, live very close to us here in Southern California.  So great to have them close.  We have always had pets: dogs and parrots.  We presently have our 13 year old dog named Annie.  (Guess we will be dealing with a teenager again!).

I have lived in 8 states and 1 other country, living longest in California at 30 years total, adding up all the years of moving in and out 8 different times.  We ended up living where we do now when my husband, Jack retired from the Air Force and took a chief pilot position with McConnell Douglas in Long Beach, CA  (now Boeing).

Some of my favorite memories from Central High days include my close friends in high school and staying in touch with most of them through the years...the weddings, their children's weddings and just making the effort to get together for fun when possible.  Some tings never change...we just "look" different.  As I look back, my personal memories taught me as much as the classes did...my favorite classes were the maths.  Extracurricular activities were always the most fun.  (Should I have been embarrassed?  If so, I don't remember.  If you remember, don't remind me!)  I hope to make the reunion and see everyone.  Let's make it fun!!.

I have been married to Brenda for 33 years.  We have 1 child and 2 grandchildren.  I am still working part time at Lunseth Plumbing and Heating as a project manager/engineer.  I plan to retire within 1 year.  I have worked in the Construction Materials Testing field for 40 years, first for Twin City Testing for 29 years, then for Midwest Testing.  I took the position at Lunseth in 1997.  Some of the most important highlights for me over the past 50 years were the birth of my daughter and my grandchildren and my daughter getting a degree in Nursing from UND.

I enjoy time with my grandchildren, traveling with my wife.  I still shoot competition High Power Rifle and look forward to attending the National Matches in Ohio each year.

I have lived in ten different locations, 7 in Grand Forks and 3 in Fargo.  I started working for Twin City Testing at the Air Base out of high school in 1959.  They moved me to Fargo in 1975, then back to Grand Forks in 1980, where I am now.

I have been married to Reuben Cohen for 32 years.  I have 3 stepsons, grown when I married my husband.  We have 3 grandchildren.  I worked for a number of years as a sociologist doing research on racial discrimination and household energy consumption.  After retiring I tried to learn Spanish and for a number of years did volunteer work trying to get communities to implement needle exchange to slow the spread of HIV/AIDS among injecting drug users.  For the last couple of years I have attempted to persuade folks in my community that global warming is an important issue and that they should support efforts to do something about it.

Over the past 50 years some of the most important highlights include marrying my second husband, Reuben Cohen; finding re-evaluation counseling, a kind of peer counseling that has helped me greatly in stressful times;traveling outside the US and in recent years, the friendships formed in my bookclub.

I love to travel.  Gardening comes in a distant second.  I have grown to enjoy going to contemporary art museums, even when I do not particularly like what is being displayed.  I don't go to that many movies, but around Oscar time I do attempt to see all the films nominated for best picture.  I have lived in 6 places since graduating from Central.  I have lived in Princeton, NJ, for 32 years, (good grief, that sounds like a long time)coming here after marrying my husband, Reuben.

Favorite memories include potluck dinners and Doc Winters chemistry class.  I remember that I enjoyed high school, mostly.  The most painful time, of course, was when my father and brother died in a plane crash.  What stands out most is my memory of all the people who came to my dad's and brother's funeral. The most unequivocally fun perhaps was decorating for dances.

My husband, John B. Patterson, and I have been married for 42 years. I am a retired teacher.   I taught junior high school, high school and junior college. - junior college in Ely, Minnesota, junior high school and high school in Akron, Ohio, Now I do several volunteer jobs at our church and I volunteer at a social service agency in Akron, Ohio.

Several things that were of special importance to me have been my graduation from the University of North Dakota, visiting the birth place of my paternal grandfather and relatives in Telemark, Norway, and the birth of our son.

I like to read--novels, history, biographies or whatever catches my interest.  My husband, my sister and I are movie buffs and see a number of movies.  My husband and I have made several trips to Europe mostly to England--Scotland and Wales--but also to Norway and Denmark.  I have one sister who is some years older than I am.  We grew up on a farm west of Grand Forks although we both attended Central High in Grand Forks.  She graduated in 1945--(Carol) Maxine Dahl.  We still own the farm and still like to spend time there in the summers as do our children.  My sister lives in Cuyahoga Falls now as well about 5 minutes from us.

Between the time graduated from high school and when I got married I lived in five different places; after I got married about 4 locations.  I've lived the longest in our current location--our house where we live now--about 22 years.  We had been teaching at the junior college in Ely,Minnesota.  My husband was offered a teaching fellowship to work on his doctorate at Kent State University, Kent, Ohio where he had gotten his B.A.  We moved to the Kent area then and have been in this area ever since.

I remember freshman General Science and Mr. Bohnen( sp?) as the most unusual class I had.  He was an outrageous teacher as I remember.  One of the things that happened was the "line up"  The Line Up was a TV show at the time and Mr Bohnen tried to duplicate line up in his class with students that hadn't done their assignments.  He lined these students up at the back of the class and called in the hall guards who were nearby to look at them.  It was one of many ridiculous things.  My favorite class was probably Miss Edmunds sophomore English class. Because of the way she presented the literature we read I really like reading Silas Marner which no one else seems to remember liking.
